A NetSPI Case Study
Global Atlantic Financial Group, a leading U.S. retirement and life insurance company, faced gaps in its ability to identify network and application risks after prior assessments missed significant issues. Seeking a multifaceted, trustworthy partner, GAFG engaged NetSPI for comprehensive penetration testing and adversary emulation services.
NetSPI delivered external and internal penetration tests, phishing campaigns, threat modeling, red-team engagements, and breach-and-attack simulation testing, uncovering high‑risk findings (for example, exposed passwords in group policy preferences and SQL error messages) that previous vendors had not detected. As a result of NetSPI’s work, GAFG strengthened its detective controls, secured additional budget in year two, and hired two people to form a new purple team, measurably improving its prevention, detection, and response capabilities.
