A Netskope Case Study
Morisawa K.K., a century-old Japanese typefoundry whose fonts are widely used in business, publishing and digital content, adopted a cloud-first strategy after rolling out Office 365 in 2015. As cloud use grew across departments, IT lacked organization-wide visibility, consistent standards, or scalable processes for evaluating cloud services, relying on manual inventories and ad hoc decisions that increased risk of data loss and compliance gaps.
Morisawa implemented Netskope’s CASB (inline and API) and leveraged the Cloud Confidence Index, uploading firewall logs to discover more than twice the number of cloud services they had expected. Using Netskope’s 28,000‑service database, automated assessments, DLP and threat prevention, and API integration with Office 365, Morisawa gained real-time, granular controls (per cloud, app and user), automated service identification, and the ability to block risky downloads or coach users—delivering scalable governance and markedly improved visibility and data protection.
