How to Build a New Facility and Relocate Your Workforce

Zurich Insurance needed to build a new campus to address major challenges in its existing environment, including networking, physical security, energy efficiency, and space efficiency, while still maintaining stability. Zurich turned to Netrix, LLC to help plan the relocation and support a modern workplace strategy, with Netrix serving as the Lead IT Architect and helping integrate structured cabling, audio visual, and networking requirements across IT silos.

Netrix, LLC implemented a collaborative, design-led approach that brought in a steering committee, defined guiding principles, and involved employees through surveys, focus groups, and workshops to shape the new space. The project delivered a highly connected campus with 9,816 strands of fiber optic glass and 14,261,998 feet of technology fiber and copper wire, totaling 197,304 individual strands and connections. The result was a new environment designed to improve collaboration, support evolving technology needs, and provide a more efficient workplace for Zurich Insurance.
