A Netpresenter Case Study

United States Government Printing Office moves beyond print

United States Government Printing Office (GPO) faced uneven internal communications across its 2,400 employees—both white- and blue-collar staff and those in field offices—and a sense that many employees weren’t being recognized for their contributions. To address this gap, United States Government Printing Office implemented Netpresenter in 2008 to deliver consistent, on-screen messaging across the organization.

Netpresenter’s solution broadcasts the same content 24x7 to 50 wall-mounted monitors, desktop screensavers and production-area kiosks, with about 50% of content focused on employee recognition and timely event updates. The results show measurable impact: 57% of employees said communication improved “a great deal” (35% “somewhat”), course enrollments rose 20–40% after Netpresenter exposure, and GPO earned the IABC “Best of the Best” Silver Inkwell Award.
