Saskatchewan Research Council (SRC), a leading applied R&D organization with offices in three Saskatchewan cities, needed a way to reach all employees and visitors with internal news, extend updates to staff working via VPN, integrate social media (Twitter and Facebook) and improve emergency notifications. To solve this SRC evaluated and implemented Netpresenter to deliver consistent, timely communications across locations and platforms.

Netpresenter was deployed to publish internal news as screensavers on 300 PC screens and on 11 flat-panel TVs in labs, receptions and meeting areas, with plans to link Netpresenter to Twitter/Facebook and to use Netpresenter Media Server for external RSS and emergency alerts. The result: staff and visitors can be informed instantly, traveling employees receive updates, employee engagement rose (staff submit more story ideas and talk about messages in hallways), and SRC reports employees are measurably better informed, engaged, productive and safer thanks to Netpresenter.
