Employee satisfaction up 33 percent thanks to ‘on screen’ communication

George Washington University Hospital faced inconsistent internal communication and needed a way to reach staff, physicians, patients and visitors across its campus. In 2007 GWUH selected Netpresenter to deliver an on-screen communication platform that broadcasts hospital news and alerts to 2,000 workstations and to large screens in elevator bays, the main lobby and physician lounges.

Netpresenter implemented a centralized, targeted signage and PC screensaver system—integrating RSS news feeds, social media links, intranet hyperlinks and a live digital directory—to send audience-specific messages and urgent alerts (used effectively during the presidential inauguration). Within three months Netpresenter boosted employee satisfaction with hospital communications by 33% and increased employee access to intranet resources.
