Case Study: Erasmus MC achieves instant emergency alerts and improved staff engagement with Netpresenter

All medical personnel instantly alerted in case of emergency

Erasmus MC, the largest medical institute in the Netherlands with over 13,000 employees and more than 1,300 beds, needed a reliable way to keep staff informed and to alert everyone instantly in emergencies across a busy clinical environment. To solve this, Erasmus MC adopted Netpresenter software—initially for screensavers and digital signage in 2009 and later expanded for internal and corporate communications in December 2010.

Netpresenter implemented push-button emergency alerts, news items and corporate screensavers on all PC screens and selected TV displays, ensuring messages are instantly visible and instructions are followed. As a result, all employees can be directly alerted in emergencies, routine clinical procedures are more consistently communicated and remembered, and staff are measurably better informed, more engaged, productive and safe—so much so that Erasmus MC says it is now impossible to imagine the hospital without Netpresenter.
