Activating SharePoint at Texas A&M AgriLife

Texas A&M AgriLife, a large education and research organization within The Texas A&M University System, needed a better way to communicate with thousands of students and employees across many Texas locations. Beforehand, staff were updating screens manually with recurring PowerPoint slides via thumb drives, which often left information outdated and ineffective. The organization wanted a digital signage solution that could integrate seamlessly with SharePoint, and turned to Netpresenter Digital Signage.

Netpresenter implemented a solution that activated SharePoint content on TV screens, allowed the team to create custom content in the Netpresenter CMS, and enabled mass alerts through a custom integration with the “CodeMaroon” alerting system. As a result, Texas A&M AgriLife now channels about 90% of department communications through SharePoint and reaches more than 50 digital signage sites instantly, connecting around 6,000 students and two-thirds of its 5,000 employees. Netpresenter helped significantly improve communication efficiency and expand outreach across the organization.
