NetMotion Mobility Helps Bloodworks Northwest Keep Precious Blood Donations Flowing

Bloodworks Northwest, a not-for-profit that collects and distributes blood across the Pacific Northwest, needed uninterrupted access to its Blood Establishment Computer System (BECS) from mobile blood drive units, donation centers and staff working remotely. Unreliable connections were causing verification delays and wasted time, so after comparing options the organization standardized on NetMotion’s Mobility solution to improve mobile access and reliability.

NetMotion deployed Mobility across laptops, tablets and handheld scanners to provide a secure, persistent mobile VPN that auto-reconnects and pauses sessions in dead zones. The result was nearly flawless connectivity (no more lost Map drives), fewer help-desk calls (eliminating issues that once took up to 30 minutes to resolve), simplified administration and consistent, HIPAA-compliant access for staff — all delivered by NetMotion.
