Allina Health’s home care division — part of Allina Hospitals and Clinics — faced frequent field connectivity losses that logged nurses out of EMR applications, corrupted local databases and generated about 90 helpdesk tickets. To fix chronic dropped connections and slow syncs to Cerner RoadNotes, Allina Health implemented NetMotion Mobility (Mobile Performance Management) across its laptop and tablet fleet.
NetMotion’s Mobility stabilized high‑latency and coverage‑drop situations, eliminated connectivity helpdesk tickets (from 90 to zero) and let nurses see an additional 3–4 patients per day (average visits rose from ~5–6 to 9). Mobility’s secure session management and analytics reduced turnover, supported a doubling of the home care staff and enabled rapid expansion of the mobile deployment across roles at Allina Health.
