NetMotion Mobility Has Deputies’ Back Through Confidence in Connectivity

The Sheriff’s Office in Coweta County, Georgia, was plagued by a legacy VPN that frequently dropped connections, froze its “connected” status, and left deputies unable to receive CAD alerts and other critical information. To fix these reliability and safety risks, the department evaluated and selected NetMotion’s Mobility Mobile Performance Management solution to replace the failing VPN.

NetMotion deployed its Mobility software across the agency’s squad laptops (working with existing Fujitsu Lifebooks, Sierra Wireless modems and Verizon 4G LTE), providing comprehensive connection management, policy controls and mobile analytics. The implementation eliminated recurring connectivity failures (IT staff report connectivity problems were taken “out of the equation, 100%”), enabled one‑minute installs from a thumb drive, simplified onboarding, sped hardware troubleshooting, and restored reliable delivery of critical alerts—improving responder safety and operational uptime.
