Heinen & Hopman, a maritime engineering and installation specialist, faced frequent mobile connection drops that prevented fitters from accessing vital, up-to-date technical drawings and 3D visualizations on site. After evaluating options they worked with NetBoss BV to implement NetMotion Mobility, part of NetMotion’s Mobile Performance Management software, to address unreliable VPNs and synchronization issues.

NetMotion’s solution provided session persistence, real-time data synchronization and policy-based bandwidth prioritization so critical applications remained available even on weak networks. The rollout eliminated connection problems, restored continuous access to accurate job information, reduced wasted trips to shore, and boosted fitter and supervisor productivity — with the company actively expanding NetMotion to many more devices and aiming to double device coverage.
