Sennheiser’s Large-Scale Migration to Headless Commerce

Sennheiser, working with agency AKQA, needed to migrate its flagship e-commerce store from multiple Shopify storefronts to a unified headless architecture in less than four months, with limited support from IT. To meet that goal, they chose a composable commerce approach using Netlify and Next.js alongside headless Shopify, Hygraph, and Search.io.

Using Netlify to handle building, deployment, and preview workflows, Sennheiser launched in just 11 weeks and cut QA time by 60%. The new site delivered a 136.7% increase in e-commerce conversion rate, a 74.8% lift in add-to-cart interactions, and even powered a bespoke “Compare Products” feature responsible for 5% of transactions.
