A Netlify Case Study
Postlight, the NYC agency behind Mercury, needed a decoupled front end for a new toolkit that automatically generates AMP pages and provisions API keys independently of its backend APIs. To support Mercury’s separate Web Parser and AMP Converter services, Postlight chose Netlify for the frontend and proxy layer.
Netlify enabled Postlight to quickly implement redirect, rewrite, and proxy rules so the frontend could route requests cleanly to APIs running on different stacks, while also handling domain aliases, CLI-based deployment, and HTTPS. The result was a flexible serverless-style setup that let the Mercury app work as a standalone single-page experience, and Postlight reported that Netlify support was fast and highly effective whenever issues came up.
