How VMware’s Tanzu Developer Center boosted users 300% with Netlify

VMWare set out to launch the Tanzu Developer Center, a developer-focused hub for blogs, videos, and educational resources, but the small three-person team needed a fast, low-friction way to build and maintain a content-heavy site. They wanted a Jamstack approach that would support Git-based collaboration, Markdown-based authoring, and easy previewing for contributors across the company.

Using Netlify with Hugo and Netlify Build, VMware implemented deploy previews, CI/QA workflows, atomic deploys, and Netlify Functions for dynamic account features. Netlify helped the team launch in just three months, scale collaboration without adding operational overhead, and ultimately triple its first-year user expectations.
