A NetIQ Case Study
World Wide Technology (WWT), a $5B systems integrator with about 2,200 employees across 25+ offices, needed reliable, secure access to numerous internal and external applications and analytics. Its legacy access-management stack was costly and inflexible, lacked SAML support for web‑based SSO, and required extensive custom Java work that could delay integrations by as much as 16 weeks.
WWT implemented NetIQ Access Manager (and Identity Manager for lifecycle control) to centralize access and identities. The solution now protects roughly 40 applications and ~300 resources, enables true bidirectional SSO, and cut integration time for SaaS apps like Salesforce and ServiceNow to days (projects completed in under two weeks)—about eight times faster—while simplifying infrastructure, improving user experience, and reducing time‑to‑market and administration effort.
