Paraca Inc. - Customer Case Study

Paraca Inc., a Japanese parking‑management company, needed to strengthen its business continuity plan by relocating backup operations from its Tokyo data center to an Osaka branch while also protecting newly deployed SAP ERP systems. Daily full backups took about three hours and recovery from physical server failures was slow and labor‑intensive, so Paraca sought a faster, more reliable solution that would also satisfy J‑SOX compliance requirements.

Working with Dell Japan, Paraca deployed PlateSpin Forge to virtualize backup and restore processes between Tokyo and Osaka. The solution reduced nightly backup time from three hours to about 30 minutes by enabling incremental backups, lowered network traffic, simplified restore verification, and allowed service recovery in roughly an hour—helping Paraca meet J‑SOX IT controls and expand protection to additional server workloads.
