A NetIQ Case Study
The Ministry of Education in Israel, serving about 2,500 internal users and roughly 2 million students and teachers across seven districts, faced fragmented identity management across more than 100 systems managed by 35 vendors. Manual account provisioning, duplicated data, inconsistent password policies and heavy helpdesk demand created security risks and an unsustainable process as the user base grew toward 3 million.
NetIQ Identity Manager and Access Manager centralized and automated identity provisioning, added role-based provisioning, single sign-on, federation and mobile access, plus user self-service and improved reporting. The solution fully automated provisioning for more than 2 million users, reduced helpdesk costs, enabled SSO to enterprise and cloud apps, strengthened security and auditing, and delivered a scalable, future-proof identity platform.
