Mazars, a global audit, consulting and accounting firm with nearly 13,000 professionals in 61 countries, launched a Core Group Model to harmonize business processes and roll out Oracle ERP across multiple countries. To support the ERP deployment, Mazars needed a single Oracle HR database for France, the Netherlands and the UK and had to standardize fragmented identity and security management (varying local approaches from SSO and IDM to manual processes).

Working with Kernel Networks, Mazars implemented NetIQ Identity Manager and NetIQ Access Manager to synchronize the master HR database with in-country Active Directory services, automate user provisioning and provide a single-sign-on portal for key apps (IBM Cognos, Oracle E‑Business Suite, billing system and SharePoint). The solution reduced manual administration and passwords, improved security, enabled delegated access, created a central shared service, and scaled global operations while allowing a smaller group IT team to manage identity and access.
