Lentis is a major mental healthcare provider in the Netherlands serving about 32,000 patients annually with roughly 4,500 employees across 63 locations. As the organisation’s IT footprint grew—about 48% more workstations and some 5,400 end-user accounts—manual user provisioning took up to two weeks and deprovisioning was periodic, creating inefficiencies and security risks.
To address this, Lentis upgraded to NetIQ Identity Manager and linked it to its HRM system (Beaufort), with plans to integrate a service desk and build a self-service portal. The solution automates user and email account creation and removal, enabling near-instant provisioning, centralized access administration, reduced IT overhead, fewer errors, and stronger control over who can access sensitive systems.
