KPN iTV, the Internet TV service from the Netherlands’ leading telecom KPN serving over 300,000 households, needed to reliably deliver high-definition, on-demand and time-shift TV in a competitive market. The challenge was to aggregate disparate technical data across many systems into a single, business-centric view so operations teams could see the end-to-end customer experience in real time and prevent service degradation before customers noticed.

Working with Q-TC, KPN iTV implemented NetIQ Operations Center to map business services to the underlying IT infrastructure and provide real-time, visual dashboards of business impact. The solution enabled proactive detection and resolution of issues from broadcaster to viewer, helped teams prioritize fixes by customer impact, reduced escalations, accelerated problem resolution and improved overall service continuity and operational efficiency.
