Inner Mongolia Yitai Group - Customer Case Study

Inner Mongolia Yitai Group, one of China’s largest coal producers operating 12 mechanized mines and hauling 50 million tons of coal annually, faced growing security and operational risks as the number of business systems expanded. Employees frequently reused passwords and flooded IT with reset requests, while access rights were managed separately for each application, making provisioning slow and leaving former or reassigned staff with inappropriate access.

Yitai worked with partner Xi’an Lezhong to deploy NetIQ Identity Manager and NetIQ Access Manager, centralizing password storage, automating provisioning/deprovisioning via HR integration, and providing single sign-on across 40+ systems. The result: tighter control over user permissions, fewer password-reset calls, faster account management, and improved overall security and user productivity.
