Huntington Bank, a full-service regional bank with over 600 branches, needed to consolidate customer data and meet evolving regulatory and security mandates while safely adopting cloud applications. The bank wanted a federated connection to Salesforce.com so colleagues could access cloud services without sharing corporate passwords, simplify logins to reduce password-reset calls, and present a unified customer view across systems.
Huntington implemented NetIQ Identity Manager and NetIQ Access Manager to automate provisioning from HR records, load roughly 8,000 Salesforce accounts in one night, and enable web single sign-on with federated authentication. The event-driven workflows automatically grant and revoke access, cut administrative overhead, improve service speed and user experience, scale for additional cloud apps, and better protect information assets—delivering faster access to customer data and stronger security.
