A NetIQ Case Study
Hainan Province Information Centre, part of the Hainan Office of Industry and Information Technology in China, supports 30 provincial-level organisations but was struggling with disparate IT systems that required separate account setups. With just 23 staff, the centre faced slow, manual user provisioning that took days, frequent password support requests, and security risks from inconsistent deprovisioning.
To address this, the centre implemented NetIQ Identity Manager and Access Manager™, completing migration and deployment in five months. The solution automated user provisioning and deprovisioning, introduced single sign-on and password self-service, and cut IT workload while improving user experience and security. Its scalability now positions the centre to expand the system province-wide to tens of thousands of users.
