GFKL Financial Services AG, a German holding with ~1,700 employees across receivables management and software divisions, faced growing IT friction from frequent personnel and organizational changes. Account provisioning and software distribution were largely manual, with separate admins per system, making it hard to ensure correct access, timely removals of ex‑employees, consistent software versions and security patches.

Working with DIDAS AG, GFKL implemented Identity Manager and ZENworks Configuration Management, integrating them with HR, eDirectory and Active Directory to automate user provisioning, password synchronization/SSO and role-based software delivery (an 80–90‑app “shopping basket”) linked to asset management. The result: provisioning time dropped to about 1.5 hours, two administrators now manage ~600 users, rollout speed and support improved, IT overhead and licensing risk were reduced, and overall security and responsiveness increased.
