A NetIQ Case Study
Etnic, the IT services provider for the Wallonia-Brussels Federation in French-speaking Belgium, faced growing complexity as it managed millions of citizens and numerous partner-agency users across different interaction scenarios. With user numbers and access scenarios rising, the organization struggled to centrally control identities, automate provisioning/deprovisioning, and provide auditability across a wide range of applications.
Etnic implemented NetIQ Identity Manager and NetIQ Access Manager to consolidate identity and access management into a single, delegated platform with segregated “populations,” self-service tools, and automated HR-driven provisioning. The deployment cut account-creation time from weeks to immediate role-based access, reduced helpdesk calls and costs, enabled secure credential reuse across services, and improved compliance by automatically removing unnecessary access.
