Drifts- och Servicenamnden - Customer Case Study

Drifts- och Servicenämnden (DSN) represents 16 municipalities in Värmland, Sweden, serving more than 280,000 citizens and managing identity data for 7,500 government employees. DSN needed an authoritative, secure way to protect personal data and strictly control access to cloud-based services (such as educational portals and productivity apps) while eliminating time-consuming manual provisioning.

DSN will implement NetIQ Identity Manager in a SaaS configuration, augmented with NetIQ Identity Tracking and support from partner Pulsen, to provide a centralized single point of control, automated provisioning/deprovisioning and a self-service portal. The solution is expected to reduce manual work, improve data validation and policy compliance, enable secure, convenient access to cloud apps, and deliver cost-efficient, shared identity services across the municipalities.
