CASH Financial Services Group (CFSG) is a Hong Kong–headquartered financial services conglomerate with around 500 employees and 10 offices across mainland China. Although its online trading platforms were well protected, CFSG faced a major risk from back-office downtime: recovering at least 30 servers from nightly tape backups could take 10–24 hours and lose up to a day’s worth of data, threatening productivity and client service.
CFSG implemented Micro Focus PlateSpin Forge in one month, deploying a remote appliance that takes hourly or daily snapshots and enables failover to a secondary data center. The new solution cuts recovery time to 15–30 minutes, eliminates daily tape changes, simplifies backup management, reduces IT effort, and substantially improves service continuity and operating efficiency.
