Carante Groep - Customer Case Study

Carante Groep is a Dutch healthcare organisation made up of ten independent providers operating from more than 1,000 locations and serving some 15,000 employees. A change in Dutch security regulations forced the group to replace 3,000 shared accounts with individual user accounts, a shift that would have multiplied manual account administration and forced a major increase in IT workload—creating a bottleneck for onboarding, access changes and deprovisioning.

Carante Groep implemented NetIQ Identity Manager, integrated with eDirectory, GroupWise and its business intelligence system with partners Everett and Trusted-4D, provisioning all 15,000 users in three days. The solution delivers single sign‑on, self‑service password reset and automated provisioning, cutting account-creation time up to fivefold, reducing IT calls and workload, improving security and compliance (including NEN7510), and enabling growth without adding IT staff.
