Atos, a global leader in IT and digital services, needed to migrate hundreds of critical production workloads—both physical and virtual—to cloud and managed infrastructures without disrupting business operations. Atos adopted Micro Focus PlateSpin Migrate, a multi-modal migration tool that shrinks target disks, removes unneeded drivers, and installs required target components to accelerate and standardize migrations. Using PlateSpin, Atos can mass-migrate dozens of workloads over a single weekend (it completed 61 migrations in one engagement), saving about four hours per server on average, delivering consistent service levels, lowering risk and costs, and strengthening its cloud services proposition.
