Roboteam builds temi with NetGuru over 3 years and 1 million lines of code

The customer, Roboteam, an Israeli robotics company, approached Netguru with the challenge of designing and building a premium, affordable personal assistant robot named temi. This required developing an entirely new Android-based operating system and mobile apps from scratch, a complex task involving advanced technologies like natural language processing and real-time data processing that was new to both the customer and the vendor, Netguru.

Netguru implemented the solution by forming a dedicated team that focused on R&D and integrated agile processes into the development workflow. The vendor developed the robot's core Android-based operating system, companion iOS and Android control apps, and an open SDK platform. This collaborative effort resulted in a successfully launched product that received fantastic feedback from testers and industry experts, putting temi on the path to leading the home robotics market.
