Ray-Ban improves VTO usability with NetGuru after 18-user, 21-day research study

NetGuru conducted a usability assessment of virtual try-on (VTO) applications for their customer, Ray-Ban, along with other leading retail brands. The challenge was to understand the pitfalls and opportunities of this rapidly rising technology, as a poor VTO implementation could harm the customer experience rather than provide the promised benefits of increased revenue and reduced costs.

The solution implemented by NetGuru was a comprehensive UX research project consisting of three phases: a broad user survey, an expert UX audit of ten brands, and in-depth usability testing with 18 users. This research allowed NetGuru to identify critical weaknesses in existing VTO solutions and produce an industry report with actionable insights. The results deepened NetGuru's own expertise, which they used to enhance their retail offering and develop their own VTO demo to better serve clients.
