Case Study: Eden Park achieves superior stadium audio with NETGEAR AV Line switches

A NETGEAR Case Study

Preview of the Eden Park Case Study

Unmatched audio for world-famous stadium Eden Park

Eden Park, a historic sports stadium in Auckland, New Zealand, needed to replace its aging sound system to improve audio quality and resilience while adhering to strict noise level requirements. The stadium, with a capacity of nearly 50,000, also required a flexible system that could support external third parties and future innovations. Bartons Sound Systems, working with the customer, identified the need for a network-based solution and selected NETGEAR as the vendor for the required AV line network switches.

Bartons implemented a solution utilizing NETGEAR GSM4212PX AV Line switches, which were preconfigured for fast deployment and easy setup of multiple VLANs for audio, control, and guest use. This allowed the stadium to install a high-quality 80-zone audio system with minimal downtime. The results were immediate, with the NETGEAR-powered network proving rock solid during sold-out events and providing Eden Park with a future-facing, flexible audio system that enhances the experience for all visitors.
