A NETGEAR Case Study
Level 3 AudioVisual designed the AV network for the University of Arizona's new Health Sciences Innovation Building, which presented a major challenge. The innovative building design, featuring a vast array of dispersed facilities, required a single, seamless system to instantly route content anywhere. A traditional coax-based network was deemed unsuitable due to the extremely long cable runs that would be needed.
NETGEAR provided the switching solution with its M4300 and S3300 switches at the core and edge of the new IP-based network. This gave the university a highly versatile and fully redundant infrastructure capable of supporting thousands of devices. The result was a flexible, scalable system that enables easy future expansion. NETGEAR's solution also delivered significant time savings during commissioning thanks to its simple management interface.
