Case Study: Télédistribution Amos expands fiber network capacity and VLAN management with NETGEAR M4300 switches

A NETGEAR Case Study

Preview of the Télédistribution Amos (Cable Amos) Case Study

Network expansion with reliability, flexibility and modularity

Télédistribution Amos, a cable television and internet service provider, needed to expand its Ethernet switching capacity to manage VLANs across multiple switches for its growing number of business customers. To meet this challenge, the company turned to NETGEAR, whose M4100 and M4300 series switches were already in use and delivering proven reliability.

The solution was the implementation of NETGEAR's M4300-96X modular switch, which consolidated 96 ports into a single unit. This provided the required capacity and simplified VLAN management. The results were immediate, with 64 ports quickly put into service. The customer was extremely pleased with the switch's performance, reliability, and hot-swappable modules, leading them to immediately order a backup unit from NETGEAR to ensure future preparedness.
