NETGEAR’s M4300 helps implement a system with zero-latency and pixel-perfect uncompressed 4K video quality

Quadram Institute, a medical research center in Norwich, England, required a cutting-edge AV system for its new, large-scale endoscopy suite. The challenge was to enable real-time collaboration for medical procedures and training by distributing pixel-perfect, uncompressed 4K video with zero latency over a network that met stringent medical safety standards, including 100% fiber optic connectivity for electrical isolation.

To meet this need, NETGEAR’s M4300 10GB Ethernet switches were implemented as the core of an uncompressed SDVoE solution. This NETGEAR-powered network provided the necessary bandwidth and low latency for flawless two-way audio and multi-source 4K video distribution. The results were a complete success, delivering the required image quality for diagnostics, ensuring patient safety through galvanic isolation, and creating a flexible, future-proof infrastructure for the medical facility.
