Cinepolis Successfully Performs Data Enrichment Program using Cross-channel Marketing Automation

Cinépolis India, the international cinema exhibitor, needed to clean up and enrich a mixed customer database of active, inactive, and unmapped contacts. Their batch-and-blast SMS and email campaigns were driving higher communication costs, inconsistent customer experiences, and low engagement. Netcore Smartech’s marketing automation platform was used to help address the data and engagement challenge.

Netcore Smartech implemented a cross-channel data enrichment campaign using segmented email, SMS, and missed-call journeys, plus a contest offering free movie tickets for a year to capture missing customer details. The automated workflow mapped data in real time, avoided duplicate contacts, and assigned unique codes to registrants. The campaign delivered over 44% email open rates, over 20% SMS CTR, and an overall 87% response rate, with 13,410 email registrations, 17,600 SMS registrations, and 7,618 missed-call registrations.
