United States Federal Law Enforcement Agency Meets Complex Network Security Demands With Customized Microsoft Active Directory Training

The United States Federal Law Enforcement Agency, headquartered in Washington, DC, needed to modernize its real-time information system and improve network security as it prepared to migrate from Novell eDirectory to Microsoft Active Directory. To support this sensitive transition, the agency required its IT staff to be trained on Active Directory and related security and migration processes. NetCom Learning provided the customized training solution, including Fundamentals of Active Directory instruction and pre-vILT orientation.

NetCom Learning trained 300 IT specialists across 14 sessions, helped the agency redeem 450 Microsoft Software Assurance Training Vouchers (SATVs), and supported the migration through live instructor-led virtual training and MCT guidance. As a result, the agency successfully moved to Active Directory, modernized its record-keeping environment, strengthened authentication and access controls, and enabled the shift from GroupWise to Exchange and a Cloud Office 365 hybrid environment.
