Metropolitan Police Force Leverages Adobe Photoshop Capabilities To Implement Technology To Combat Crime

Metropolitan Police Force, one of the largest municipal police agencies in the United States, needed a highly customized way to train selected officers, forensic staff, and photographers on Adobe Photoshop CS5 for Forensics as part of a new facial-recognition and public-safety technology initiative. The challenge was to build the skills needed to use image capture, editing, and forensic features effectively so the force could better identify suspects and support crime prevention efforts.

NetCom Learning delivered a three-session, classroom-based train-the-trainer Adobe Photoshop program with hands-on labs, customized coursework, and individual assistance. The solution trained 10 core staff members directly and ultimately helped prepare 30 participants from across the force to support rollout of the new system, improving their ability to use forensic imaging capabilities and strengthen monitoring for crime and terrorism prevention.
