Elastx, a Stockholm-based Platform-as-a-Service provider, set out to build a cloud hosting platform from scratch that could deliver predictable, high-performance environments for SaaS, websites and enterprise apps. Facing the limitations of legacy SANs, they needed an all-SSD, scale-out architecture with deduplication, OpenStack/Jelastic integration, sub-millisecond latency and QoS to avoid noisy‑neighbor performance variability.

They deployed SolidFire SF3010 all‑flash arrays with deduplication, scale-out clustering and guaranteed IOPS, integrated via REST APIs with OpenStack and Jelastic. The result was a linear, highly available platform that delivers consistent, low-latency performance at scale (one customer’s DB latency fell from 350 ms to ~2 ms), faster deployments, lower operational cost, improved customer loyalty and predictable SLAs.
