A U.S. federal agency and longtime NetApp storage customer needed to replace an aging Dell server environment that was limiting Continuation of Operations (COOP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) performance. The agency needed to host a subset of CIFS data via NetApp ONTAP Select and feared typical risks of vendor transitions—service interruptions, poor support, and surprise costs—so NetApp and partner ClearShark were engaged to design a networked configuration that would integrate into the agency’s existing hybrid cloud infrastructure without disruption.

NetApp HCI, deployed with ONTAP Select and ClearShark’s network configuration, enabled a seamless switchover into the agency’s HCI. The new solution delivered improved processing power, stronger COOP/DR performance, and simplified storage management, making it easier to manage compute and storage while avoiding downtime or unexpected expenses.
