Turkey’s Largest Organized Industrial Zone Secures IT Operations with FlexPod

Gaziantep Organized Industrial Zone (OIZ), Turkey’s largest OIZ hosting about 800 companies across 44 km², needed a secure, cost‑effective way to deliver IT services to five separate service buildings. Rather than replicate infrastructure at each site, the operator wanted a single network and centralized data management to simplify operations, cut investment and improve security.

Implemented by İstar and Avnet, a FlexPod (NetApp + Cisco) converged datacenter created a single data fabric supporting Microsoft business apps and IP telephony. The solution centralized storage and management, enabled virtualization, disaster recovery and tighter perimeter control, reduced capital needs (from “5 to 1”), lowered phone costs, and improved business continuity, efficiency and security.
