A NetApp Case Study
T-Systems, a global leader in information and communications technology, set out to meet rising customer demands for continuous availability by launching its Zero Outage Program. Faced with a complex, partner-dependent cloud infrastructure, the company needed to push uptime beyond the industry five-nines standard and eliminate costly downtime for critical customers across industries.
Partnering with NetApp’s Advanced Operations Services (AOS) as a certified Zero Outage Vendor, T-Systems implemented strict KPIs (20-minute incident response, 4-hour restore, timely root-cause analysis and fixes), resident engineers, automation and Active IQ risk reporting. The result: 14 of 20 business units recorded zero downtime, 95% achieved 99.999%+ availability (one at 99.99%), 20-minute incident response times, and more cost-effective, secure, highly available cloud services while reducing support overhead.
