StatPro Enhances Client Experience and Solutions Value with NetApp Flash Pool

StatPro, a Toronto-based provider of portfolio analysis, management solutions, and asset valuation services for the global investment community, was struggling with heavier workloads that delayed report processing, sluggish desktop performance, and persistent latency that drove up service tickets and disrupted client access to critical information.

StatPro deployed NetApp Flash Pool (SSDs and performance drives) on its two FAS3240 systems, a plug-and-play upgrade activated in under two minutes, and plans to extend the approach to FAS3220 for Oracle workflows. The change cut latency from several hundred milliseconds to about 5 ms, saved roughly $36,000 annually by avoiding additional HDD shelves, reduced index and pricing storage from 10 TB to 1 TB via deduplication, dramatically lowered latency-related tickets, and noticeably improved virtualized/cloud performance and client experience.
