A NetApp Case Study
Schuberg Philis is a Dutch leader in mission-critical outsourcing that guarantees 100% functional uptime for enterprise and society-critical customers such as banks, energy traders and government agencies. Facing rising performance demands and the need to offer more dynamic, on‑demand cloud options, the company wanted to move away from costly, customer‑specific dedicated zones to a unified infrastructure that could provide isolated resources, massive performance increases and lower operational costs without upfront customer investment.
To achieve this, Schuberg Philis implemented a unified, cloud-enabled platform based on NetApp FAS8040 systems with Clustered Data ONTAP 8.3.2 and Flash Pool–accelerated SAS shelves, using NetApp APIs and proprietary automation to tailor services. The new setup delivered higher performance, lower operational costs, non‑disruptive operations, audited performance guarantees and faster release cycles; today nearly all customers run in Schuberg Philis’s cloud with hybrid and multi‑cloud options available.
