SB C&S Corp., a distributor of information and communications technology products, faced challenges with its companywide file server, including chronic capacity shortages, slow response times, and a high operational load for its 1,900 users. To improve user productivity and solve these issues, they turned to vendor NetApp for a modern storage solution.

NetApp implemented its AFF all-flash arrays with ONTAP software, integrating and replacing three old servers. The solution provided dramatically faster file access, with reading speeds up to 1.6 times faster and list display up to 5 times faster. NetApp's deduplication and compression reduced storage capacity by 20-40%, while Snapshot technology enabled hourly backups. Furthermore, the NetApp data fabric seamlessly tiered infrequently used data to Microsoft Azure, optimizing costs and setting the foundation for future hybrid cloud innovation.
