Renishaw, a global engineering and manufacturing company that makes precision measurement, motion control and additive‑manufacturing products, needed a storage platform to support a Microsoft Hyper‑V virtualisation rollout across roughly 70 locations in 32 countries. The IT team wanted regionally focused infrastructure that delivered high performance, iSCSI over 10GbE support, tight Hyper‑V integration and easy management while reducing operational cost and complexity.

Renishaw and partner Daisy deployed NetApp FAS3220 HA XIO systems (two in the UK) and FAS3220 HA systems in Asia, the Americas and India, running clustered Data ONTAP to deliver high IOPS, low latency, data efficiency and reduced drive counts.
