TV8, Turkey’s leading entertainment channel, operates three HD channels 24/7 and faces intense production demands: roughly 30 concurrent HD ingest streams, peak throughputs above 50 Mbps, and explosive data growth (creating up to 8,492 files in a single day). To avoid on-air outages and support simultaneous multicamera editing, the broadcaster needed ultra-reliable, low-latency file storage and scalable archiving.

TV8 deployed NetApp FAS systems with OnCommand software and integrated hybrid-cloud archiving (Microsoft Azure, Amazon S3, Oracle Cloud) via partner İstar, recording directly to production storage and tiering archives to the cloud. The solution delivered improved reliability and performance—enabling editing-while-recording for >30 concurrent HD streams, simpler archiving and disaster recovery, and a clear path to streamlined cloud backup and future scale.
