Antena 3, Spain’s leading commercial broadcaster with multiple TV and radio channels plus digital and mobile services, faced rising demand for on‑demand, multiplatform content. To move from capital‑intensive, tape‑based linear workflows to a flexible, file‑based production model, the company needed scalable, integrated storage that would eliminate operational silos and tie into its in‑house media, workflow, and resource management systems.

Antena 3 implemented a NetApp storage platform (including FAS3240/FAS6210 systems, V‑Series controllers, and Data ONTAP software) to support both HD editing and low‑res proxy workflows and to run the Dalet newsroom system. The deployment gave hundreds of users instant access to archives (over 150,000 news clips and 300,000 hours of media), enabled nondisruptive scaling, integrated production and back‑office systems, and delivered enterprise reliability to support thousands of hours of multiplatform content distribution.
