Mutua de Propietarios, a historic Spanish insurance company, faced rapidly growing data volumes that strained its servers and threatened business continuity. The firm needed increased storage capacity and reliable availability to support core services (email, document management, databases) and new projects like digital signatures, while minimizing downtime from hardware failures.

Mutua deployed a NetApp FAS270c with NAS and iSCSI SAN, implemented by partner Brain2store alongside VMware server virtualization, and used NetApp Snapshot for rapid file restores. The centralized solution was live in about six weeks (storage) and two months (virtualization), delivering almost instantaneous service recovery after hardware faults, two‑minute file restores, lower TCO, improved productivity and response times, and scalable capacity for future growth.
